HEArt at Starr King – Sock Puppet Mania

Monday, March 1st, 2010

The Starr King kids donned their arms with large white socks and then got to work hot gluing felt, pipe cleaners, pom poms, and googly eyes to transform them into crazy puppets.  We talked about conflict resolution and how understanding one another and working together is key in finding a solution to social conflicts.  The students made puppets inspired by characters that might be involved in conflicts.  There were superheroes, older brothers, flying dragons, and more.  Check us out next week to see the puppet show and stage set that the Kingers will come up with!
